Smoko' Von

Hehe, sorry boys and girls for the delay in posting. Been busy, what with driving up the coast and around the country in the midst of a weather bomb and all...

Anyway, I got the chance to photograph the ever elusive (yea right) Yvonne Mak one day when I got bothered to lug my gear round to the flat. And wot a co-inky-dink, she just happened to be having her smoko break. LOL.

Nah, Von was practicising puffing for her Law Revue Night (she wants me to remind y'all to go and watch her onstage debut). And so in the waning evening light, I had the chance to portray her in a light that suits winter at the moment.

The theme here is grey, dank and sorta emo. Hope I hit the mark with these shots.

Thought about captioning the rest of them... but maybe just the one will do...

PS: BIG thanks for the photo-op Von, might do more in future!!!

I'm guessing the theme for the Law Revue would be :

"Smoking kills...
And staring down can get you killed in the streets."

That's hip.

Photographer's Creed

This is my camera. There are many like it but this one is mine.My camera is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me, my camera is useless. Without my camera, I am useless. I must shoot my camera true. Before God I swear this creed: my camera and myself are defenders of the art of photography, we are the masters of composition, we are the saviors of memories. So be it, until there are no elusive shots left, but good, decent, photography. Amen.
